Christopher Dresser Design Influences New Decorative Line from Hickory Hardware

Studio adds modern sophistication to the home

Hickory Hardware™ (www.hickoryhardware.com), America's leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of decorative, functional and industrial hardware, introduces the Studio collection of decorative cabinet hardware. Inspired by the 19th-Century metalwork of British artisan Christopher Dresser, the line includes cabinet knobs and pulls in an assortment of sizes and finishes.

Hickory Hardware's Studio LineStudio's clean, post-Victorian style reflects the simple modern aesthetic of the early Industrial Design movement that Dresser pioneered. Dresser's vision and forward-looking designs reflected his belief in compromise between the efficiency of the machine and the skill of the craftsman.

With geometric forms and a touch of Japanese influence — hallmarks of Dresser's workshop — the Studio collection blends ornamental design with functionality. Studio's simplicity and sophistication places it comfortably in any home decor.

The Studio collection comes in three finish options — Bright Nickel, Oil-Rubbed Bronze Highlighted and Venetian Bronze — and includes knobs in 1-inch and 1-1/4-inch diameters, 3-inch, 96mm and 128mm pulls, and a 3-inch and 96mm cup pull.
